What could be possibly more awesome than becoming a mother?! No other experience in life will so completely fill you up and empty you out all at once, in ways good, bad, and everything in between.

And because it’s such a monumental, heroic journey, where every emotional, physical, sensual, and spiritual may be tested, it’s crucial for mothers themselves to be nourished and supported deeply.

Mothering the Mothers

This program is designed specifically for mother’s who are ready to turn the page and start a new chapter of their life story, one that includes healing from birth trauma, reclaiming their body, investing in personal wellness, increasing energy levels and sex drive, and finding a deep sense of balance and calm amidst the chaos of raising a family in NYC.

I’m passionate about serving mothers for many reasons, but the biggest one is probably because they inspire me so much. The level of strength and sensitivity required to bring a new life into this world is truly awesome. My entire life I’ve been surrounded by, inspired by, and guided by strong women and mothers. It’s made me such a better person, and it feels like a great privilege to be able to support mother’s during this most precious rite of passage.

My approach is body positive, evidence based, comprehensive, interdisciplinary, intimate, and holistic, combing both western science and eastern wisdom practice to create an experience that is empowering, pleasure based, and incredibly practical. And I’m proud to be a Certified Pre and Post Natal Coach through GGS academy, the worlds preeminent pre and post natal certification.

The Program

  • 2 - 3x/week for 4 weeks.

  • 60 minute 1-on-1 sessions with Jonathan.

  • Primal movement - gentle sensory based movements that use the floor to relax the entire body-mind and soften excess tension stored in the muscles, organs, and joints.

  • Energy Medicine - breathing techniques, sound vibration, and sacred dance for unblocking and harmonizing the subtle energy channels.

  • Healing Touch - sensual (and always consensual) hugging, holding, and acupressure to balance the endocrine/hormonal systems and decrease unpleasant symptoms like nausea, hot flashes, cramps, bloating, brain fog, and joint pain.

  • Student commits to practicing the movements at least 5 minutes per day on their own.

    Goal: Deep relaxation, spontaneous regeneration, hormonal balance, and trauma relief, so you can feel amazing in your body and with tons of energy.

Working with Jonathan during my second pregnancy changed everything for me. I experienced very little back and sciatic pain this time! I learned to listen to my body and trust what it was telling me. My second labor was about as easy as labor can be. Thanks to our training together, my body knew what to do to birth this baby and I followed its lead.

The post-partum period has had its own set of challenges; I developed postpartum depression due to an extreme lack of sleep. Jonathan’s coaching helped me relax, keep my sanity, balance my hormones, and just feel better.

“Mothers need love and care too but unfortunately are often the last in line. It's so clear that Jonathan loves and values mothers, what a relief! His presence always has a calming, comforting effect on me, not exactly a common quality for personal trainers.

I'm someone who loves working hard (I'm a 2x Golden Gloves silver medalist) but rather than push me into over training, Jonathan was very holistic and systematic in his approach. First, he really helped me heal from the trauma of pregnancy/IVF and set up the foundation for me to be healthier and stronger than ever. We focused on primal movement, energy medicine (Qigong), and healing touch to help me reconnect to my body and increase my energy.

I enjoy being touched but after multiple rounds of IVF and giving birth to twins I was definitely exhausted and under nourished sensually. The healing touch Jonathan does is just the right kind; it helped me relax deeply for the first time since becoming a mother, better appreciate my body and feel more comfortable in it, breathe better, and even improved my intuition.

Jonathan's approach is high touch and intimate, yet always meets me where I'm at each day, even though where I'm at shifts dramatically throughout my menstrual cycle. Many of the techniques Jonathan taught me not only helped me personally but are tools that I use with my own children. For instance, the acupressure points for decreasing nausea helped me feel much better, and I also use them with my children when they need it.

He has such a playful spirit and this helped wake up my own inner child and made me a more joyful, playful mother. His pleasure based approach is highly unconventional and gave me the abundance of energy I need to start working hard again so I can get back into fighting shape!”
